We booked the two night/3 day cruise because with the two day cruise, after the bus trip to Halong Bay, then home again, we figured that we’d only get two half days on the junk. We made the right decision. Over 20 guests left on the second day, leaving just us, for several hours. Then another couple with two children joined us for the second night and third morning. The food was outstanding – many courses and way too much for me to eat at each meal. Even when there were just two of us for lunch on the second day, the courses kept coming….. All the stlory aff were fantastic, looking after our every need. We went to a massive cave, a private beach, did kayaking, squid fishing and heaps more. We were paddled around a floating village, enjoyed Tai Chi in the mornings and spent time relaxing and taking photos (over 1,000), surrounded by views that were amazing. The room was big and had an ample sized ensuite. I really enjoyed the trip in the bus, there and back as well. Seeing all the different areas along the way, assorted buildings, shops, coffee? houses with hammocks instead of chairs, a myriad of modes of transport and I also enjoyed the thrill of last minute overtaking on the road. I got a few pics of this but the best ones were missed because I was hanging on for dear life….lol. I will and do, recommend this cruise to anyone – and suggest the 3 day cruise if you have the time. A professional, well-run tour.
